LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS OF 1950 -BACK POCKET By PERCY TAYLOR

Argus 22-Jul-1950 p6 The Argus Week-End Magazine

BILL STEPHEN is the regular back pocket player at Fitzroy, where he is regarded as one; of the most consistent players in the game. He has tenacity, good judgment more than pace, is a good mark for his inches, and sticks closely to his man. He was first seen playing in a Y.C.W. competition, and was quickly signed up tor Fitzroy. Bill, who has been chosen in the State side, is single and a salesman.
