LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS OF 1950 -WING HALF-FORWARDS By PERCY TAYLOR

Argus 15-Jul-1950 P10
DOUG HEYWOOD, who came to the club from Scotch College in 1943, has probably played at wing: half-forward more than any other player. Doug is a nice mark and a neat mover, and is a left-footer with some of the defects of most left footers. After leaving school he went to the University, and played with " the Blacks, but is now a "Demon" again. He is a Bachelor of Commerce, and is with a large firm. In the summer he plays a good brand of tennis.
