Les Jones 1944,46-49, 59 games, 23 goals. A powerfully built ruck-rover he ably assisted Dyer as a follower. He played for army teams 1940-45. In only his 3rd League game he played in Richmond's 1944 losing grand final team. Won Richmond's Most Determined award in 1946, and finished 3rd in 1947 B&F. In 1950 he played and coached Gippsland teams. Brother of Dennis who played 59 games with Melbourne, and Jeff who played in Prahran's 1951 premiership side. He died in 1989.(from The Tigers of Old, AFL records)
