VFA competition dates are very incomplete

Introduction

This is a mainly Victorian database. It includes all VFL players 1925-1965 plus a number of players who only solely played in the VFA. Dates that players played in the VFL Senior Competition are available via a number of sources. Dates for the VFA or for VFL Seconds competition are noted where known.

Over 5000 people played VFL football between 1925 and 1965. With usually over 100 players debuting each year (accounting for over 25% of total players each year during the 1925-65 period).
