ERC BENTLEY.—One of tile really great players of the game. In the Tiger lair since 1925. coming from Burnley Juniors. Born at Castlemame. Age 32. weight 14st. 21b., height 6K. Married, one child. Joan <8f. First apeared for Richmond at 16. with Jack Titus. Both the same age and both from Castlemalne. His seventh year as captain and coach. Probably acquired ability to lead from his father, who was captain and coach of Castlemaine. Anything outdoor appeals to the No. 1 Tiger, but mostly seen on golf course or away with fishing rod and gun. - Sporting Globe 1940 3
