Team: Unknown
Location: Brunswick Oval (Brunswick)
Date: circa WW2

People: Len Smith top row far left

Apparently a Services team photographed during the Second World War at the Brunswick (VFA) Oval in front of the main grandstand. The player at extreme left of top row is Len Smith (formerly of Northcote and Melbourne, brother of Norm, and eventual coach of Fitzroy and Richmond). Very few spectators but several of them wear RAAF hats. The very upright-looking gentleman third from left in the middle row is presumably a RAAF officer. Eighteen players.

If RAAF Officer then probably RAAF Team rather than army team
A player named MacIntyre played for the Laverton 'Fliers' in 1942.

Top row, second from left resmbles Carlton player Don McIntyre

"Flying Officer Don McIntyre" as noted in Argus
PRESENTATIONS TO CARLTON MEMBERS. (1943, February 4). The Argus (Melbourne, Vic. : 1848 - 1956), p. 9. Retrieved October 5, 2012, from http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article11342740

Midle row, second left resembles Coburg play named Irvine.
